Fatal accident on Lagos-Ore road leaves many dead (Graphic pics)

Full load of God is Good motors this morning collided with a Dangote truck heading to Lagos. The commercial bus was from Lagos heading to the East when it got involved in a head on collision at Ore Sagamu Expressway with the truck that was heading to Lagos. All passengers in the bus died.. and the photos are sad and very graphic so be warned. More photos after the cut...

    1. Dangote trucks are always causing serious accidents everywhere. Between kabba n abj, u can count up to 20 of their trucks abandoned due to accidents. I don't know the kind if drivers dey employ n if they don't train them. Hardly can u see a Julius berger truck involved in any mishap cos dey drive wit caution. I'm so upset. May the dead rest in peace. Too sad.

  11. This is so sad. Why do these trucks cause accidents. God is good motors is a very big transport company with stellar and well behaved drivers. They should investigate the cause of this accident and Sue dangote if his truck driver led to this. If he can't hire mentally sane truck drivers, then his trucks should stay off the road. This will go out as an example to other companies who wnt bother to check the sanity of their truck drivers.

  68. Do we still have Road Safety Officials in dis country?or are they also waiting for Buhari to address dem before they sit up? All d accident incidences in the last 4months all bear d Hallmark of over-speeding,the road safety must curb these needless deaths by dealing decisively with speed offending drivers. If the driver is over speeding, passengers shud reprimand him seriously,if dey all keep quiet, then d outcome is often like this shud there be any mishap. Speed is the killer here, motorist must reduce their speeding.

  124. For an accident with this level of fatality, there is very high probability of over-speeding. To be fair, God Is Good Motors is doing everything possible to ensure that their maximum speed limit of 100-110km/h is maintained by their drivers but you never can say what happened when no one is monitoring the drivers. I learnt that their vehicles are fixed with automatic speed monitor.

Drivers of Dangote, Julius Berger and Coca Cola trucks are very reckless and appear to be above the law. Government should please call these companies to order. We have not heard of any of their drivers being prosecuted for all the carnage they are causing on our roads.

My heart goes out to the families of the departed. I feel so sad.

  142. If not that we live in a society where the voices and lives of the common man has no value to the government, a lot of these life snatching accidents would be managed to the barest minimum. I seriously do not understand why, in this age of civilization, we still transport goods on the same roads where commuters ply.

If we had proper rail transportation systems a lot of these evil trucks wouldn't have to crisscross our highways killing tons of people all the time. I really sympathize with the families of the deceased, may the souls of the departed rest in peace. My heart also goes out to the God is Good team, this must be quite heartbreaking for them because I know how hard they work to ensure the safety of their passengers.

  151. What? My God is Good? What is wrong with Dangote truck drivers? They kept killing innocent souls along Lagos-Benin road. Let Federal govt do something biko nu. Dangote drivers are not trained, that is how they killed my rommie dad out of careless driving. God is Good recruit professional drivers and constantly train them. This is a bus I have been using for more than 10 years and no issue. I find my comfort as it would be on Air. All my family members can;t do without them in terms of Lagos-Onitsha. They are actually the best. May the dead RIP.

  157. This is really sad. Why is nobody checking the reckless of these Dangote truck drivers? The number of lives they have taking on our highway.

I know that God is Good Motors employ and train their driver very well and their speed limit is 100-110 km/h and they have tracking and monitoring device in all their buses that do not allow the vehicle to go beyond the speed limit.

Government should really come into this and check the kind of drivers that are driving Dangote trucks.

I pray that the soul of those people will rest in peace
