"I use to hear that new born babies take a while before their eyes open up. I just got a baby girl from my lovely wife some hours ago and her eyes were open after 30 minutes
What is he talking about??? How long does he want the baby's eyes to be closed? Biko my lovely nephew, Zina opened his eyes immediately he was clothed and brought to the court. They open then close intermittently tryna get used to the light. Even if you have never seen a new born, Google is ya friend!
In the olden days babies don't open their eyes till after two or three days,but that has changed, is normal for her to open her eyes after 30mins my niece opened her eyes the same dayday,not a bid deal any more.

Its not abnormal. I have 3 girls and they all opened their eyes 10 mins after delivery. I was there in the Labor room during their births. SO take your baby home she is normal.
My dear don't mind them. It's normal these days. The kids now are strong... but my mum cracked a joke the other day... says it's all the exotic styles we young people do while making love that has caused it

Now lemme enlighten this man more, babies open their eyes once they are given birth to but with poor vision, everything they see becomes blurr until some days later before they see brightly. So babies are born with their eyes widely open but with blur vision

But u need not worry, 'cos its perfectly normal, especially for kids in this present generation to open their eyes immediately they're born.
