Study in Canada

Why Canada? Work Permit: International students are allowed to work on and off campus during studies. After graduation students are eligible to work for a period of 1-3years.

Qualifications Valued Around the World: Canada’s high academic standards and rigorous quality controls mean that you’ll be earning a high-quality education that will open doors for your future and benefit your career over the long term. A Canadian degree, diploma or certificate is globally recognized as being equivalent to those obtained from the United States or Commonwealth countries.

Affordable Education

The quality of education and living standards in Canada are amongst the highest in the world, but the cost of living and tuition fees for international students are generally lower than in other countries such as the United States and the United Kingdom. As such, Canada is often the preferred choice for students attending college or university.

Multicultural Society

With almost all of the world’s ethnic groups represented in Canada, it’s hard not to find ethnic foods and recreation activities associated with specific cultures. In fact, your international student advisor can help you get in touch with any number of ethnic clubs and associations for you to join while you’re here.

Exciting Campus Lifestyle

Canada’s post-secondary campuses aren’t only wired with the latest in sophisticated technology, but countless other modern amenities as well. From Olympic-quality sports facilities to public concert halls and art galleries, Canada’s post-secondary campuses offer you enormous possibilities for learning and leisure. Plus, you’ll have incredible opportunities to meet like-minded individuals and gain valuable experience through student-run governments, radio, newspapers and businesses.

Land of Possibilities

Under Canada’s highly dynamic and hands-on academic environment, you will not only acquire knowledge and skills in analysis and communication, but you will also learn how to express yourself, demonstrate your creativity, and develop your self-confidence! Teachers and professors are always available and eager to help with lessons, and studies fuse academic excellence with interaction and collaboration in the classroom.

Canada is globally recognised as a friendly multicultural society with high family value

Everything about what was said is true, but the cost of education is definitely high.
Yes it might not be as high as that of the United States, but trust me (schooled here), it is on the high side for international students.

everything said is true except the part of cost of education which is on the high side, just like someone said earlier... I school in Canada, studying a health science program and mehn it is expensive..but in all it is a great place to study... Love Canada

God bless the two anonymous who talked about the tuition,it's not beans o,you gotta plan yourself well, and fortunately you can start working off campus immediately, unlike when it used to be 6months after being enrolled in a full time program. That being said don't come in with the mindset that you would start working immediately, because the workload in school is going to be mega, and you have to adjust first because its different from the moinmoin we are used to in Nigeria. Canada is a good place to come study, plan yourself very well, get the right INFORMATION,that is very key,not from the agent alone but visit the school's website and email them for all your inquiries. All the very best!

In terms of education, Canada has a very good standard but it is expensive. Also, if you are coming here you have to know what you want. Come with a focus and plan yourself properly. Do not be scared to ask questions especially when you are lost. Canadians are open to questions and you will love it here. Please let me state that from December to April (winter periods) is very cold, so for those of you that do not like cold please come prepared and get good clothing when coming.

I am interested in studying in Canada but had a bad experience with an agent located somewhere in Lekki Phase 1 where I paid 2000 dollars as consultation fee for visa processing and yet I was denied visa. Dont know if I can try again without agents trying to rip u off ur life savings just to help u secure a visa.

P.S
1)Studying in Canada is not as expensive as the USA oooo, infact a lot of folks have to get student loan to pull it off in the USA,which an international student in Canada does not have access to.

2. I don't know when last you visited the Citizenship and immigration website, but as at June 1st 2014,International students can now work 20hours off campus while studying. As at the time I came in it was after 6months that you could get an off campus work permit.
Please sir/ma *ALWAYS GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT*before sharing it!

I want read book but I don't have the money. Is there scholarship? That is what the most naija guys want. The people with very gud brains and very high motivation to succeed in their studies are most times the people who are financially handicapped to pursue this education in advanced country. If there is scholarship or Loan, give us to study, I will start paying back immediately I start my doctorate degree.
